TECHNICAL CONFERENCE: Tues 9th March 2010, Warwick
 


This was a technical user event where we combined presentations from experts at QAD with real life experiences from User Group Members.
We were especially pleased to be welcome Waldemar Cieciuch from Poland who wrote the QAD Integrated Customised Toolkit (ICT)

Sessions included:

We heared how the Qxtend toolset could benefit your business. The sesion, presented by Adrian Sherriff utilised examples of completed projects from the QAD customer base and the tangible benefits achieved by users.

.Net UI Training Workshop 22nd Sept 2009 (book early, strictly limited numbers)
This training workshop examines how to leverage the latest user interface for QAD Enterprise Applications to gain significant productivity and performance improvements in your da-to-day activities.You will learn the new features within the .NET User Interface and how they can improve the user experiencefor all roles using QAD applictions. Take a deep dive with hands-on training specifically focused on each of the major components within the interface. We will teach you how to use each feature and conclude the class by showing you how to pull the components together for a seamless experience. At the end of the workshop selected individuals will share with the clas their own user experience mprovements
Upgrade Workshop 22nd Sept 2009 (book early, strictly limited numbers)
This workshop will cover the migration/upgrade of QAD Enterprise Applications 2008. We will concenrate on the approach and help you avoid known pifalls during the installation, migration and/or upgrade of QAD 2008. Learn about all the considerations and tips and techniques during this course., including special focus on new areas of functionality in QAD 2008 including Enterprise Financials and .NET UI opportunities.
You will learn tools and methodologies for migrating your customisations to the new environment. We will cover tools that will speed up your migration of customisations, in particular if you are upgrading from a "Pre-Domain" version of QAD applications. We will also cover how intrusive customisations can be avoided for future upgrades.
We will share a typical project plan for a migrion or upgrade to QAD 2008 and highlight the variables that can impact your schedule - the the activities you need to consider, the best aproach for your situation and ways to gain efficiencies in the time line.

Our Event on 22nd Nov 2007: "Financials - The Present and The Future" was a Great Success   22/11/2007

Our event "Financials - The Present and The Future" was very popular with over 60 attendees.

The "Present" was covered with presentations from Debbie Fisher, Georgina Munn and Micheal Tooze.

With major changes in financials with the next release of Mfg/Pro, including the consolidation of multiple databases, we were very pleased to welcome Rene Bergkamp, QAD's Director of Product Management for the QAD EA 2008 Financials to the conference. As well as demonstrations of the new functionality there was lots of discussions and questions.
A great opportunity to feedback on the new release.
This was a hot topic that we will be following up at our next event..
